# guild chat

> Chat with The Smith, Guild's built-in support agent.

Open [The Smith](/platform/smith), Guild's built-in support agent, in an interactive chat session.

guild chat                    # Open The Smith
guild chat --events all       # Include system and debug events
```

To chat with the generic workspace assistant instead, use [`guild workspace chat`](/cli/commands/workspace#chat).
