Configuration parameter validation
Some integrations take a configuration parameter — a subdomain or instance identifier — that Guild substitutes into the service’s base URL. By default these values are validated as a single DNS label: each must match^[a-zA-Z0-9-]+$, so only alphanumeric characters and hyphens are allowed. Guild applies the check both when you connect the integration and before each outbound request, and rejects any other value, including one containing a dot or a slash, with the message Invalid parameter value: <value>.
Enter the label alone rather than a full hostname — yourcompany, not yourcompany.example.com.
A few integrations replace this default with their own rule where the service requires it. Datadog, for example, takes a full
site hostname and validates it against Datadog’s own domains instead.Code & CI/CD
